Las perspectivas del ingreso en la OTAN empujaron la ofensiva georgiana

Moscú, 19 de agosto, RIA Novosti. El embajador de Rusia ante la OTAN, Dmitri Rogozin, afirmó hoy que las perspectivas del ingreso en la Alianza empujaron la ofensiva georgiana contra Osetia del Sur.

“Los países occidentales deben entender que precisamente su promesa de admitir en un futuro a Georgia y a Ucrania en la OTAN empujó la ofensiva georgiana”, manifestó Rogozin a la cadena de televisión rusa “Vesti”.
“El presidente georgiano (Mijaíl Saakashvili) supo que tiene abogados gratuitos y ello le permite portarse descaradamente y hasta derramar sangre ajena”, dijo el diplomático ruso.
El 8 de agosto el Ejército georgiano invadió Osetia del Sur y atacó su capital, Tsjinvali, con artillería pesada, tanques y aviones. La ciudad quedó en ruinas y el número de muertos entre la población civil alcanzó 1.600 personas.
